QUALIFICATIONS

You can become a member of NAWEM if you are:

A major shareholder in a limited or public company who exercises the power to make policy decisions and is actively involved in the day-to-day management of the firm, OR

A major shareholder who exercises the power of a Chief Executive Officer to make policy decisions and is involved in the day-to-day management of the firm, OR

A minor shareholder who exercises the power of a Chief Executive Officer to make policy decisions and is involved in the day-to-day management of the firm, OR

A partner or sole owner of a professional firm.

If you are a sole proprietor or an employee, we welcome you to be a Friend of NAWEM (FON).

We have various categories of members, namely:

Guild
One who has been exercising the above duties and powers for more than five (5) years.

Ordinary
One who has been exercising the above duties and powers for two (2) to five (5) years.

Associate
One who has been exercising the above duties and powers for less than two (2) years.

Honorary
Honorary membership may be bestowed upon individual members of national and international distinction who have made significant contribution towards advancing the objectives of NAWEM. Honorary members have NO voting rights.

Charter
The first one hundred members of the above categories except Honorary members, may opt to be Charter Members.

Friends of Nawem (FON)
For those who do not qualify to be members, you can be part of NAWEM as "Friends of Nawem" (FON). FONS can participate in all Nawem's activities. However, they cannot vote or stand for office.

Meet Our Exco

Sarojini Ruth Rajahser is the Managing Director of Data-Tech Sdn Bhd, a company providing outsourcing services for transferring data into input media such as paper document, microfilm and microfiche. A true entrepreneur at heart, Sarojini’s success story began with a humble start as a data entry operator. She quickly moved up the ranks to supervisor and her efforts paid-off when she bought over the company where she start her career.
